Thorpe St Andrew

Thorpe St Andrew

Thorpe St Andrew on the River Yare is located just two miles outside of the City of Norwich.  It has an elegant riverside green and many historical buildings which once would have housed merchants who were responsible for Norwich becoming a major player in the wool trade.  Today, these buildings are lovely homes, many line the riverbank.  One there were boatyards aplenty but now there are jut two plying their trade east of the village. Nowadays, the village offers a number of pubs, some riverside at Thorpe Green, friendly cafes, restaurants, takeaways, good shopping including a supermarket.
