Reedham
Reedham is an interesting village on the Northern bank of the River Yare. There is a river crossing available at either end of the village, a car and passenger ferry and a railway bridge. In between, Reedham has a pretty quay which runs alongside the river for around a quarter of a mile, with moorings, cottages and a couple of riverside pubs. In the latter part of the 19th century, many boatyards dotted the banks of the River Yare and wherries were once built here too by Halls at Reedham Quay. One called Wonder, reputed to be the largest and Fawn the fastest. A statue on the quay, commemorates this important time in Norfolk Broads history.
