Wildlife on the Broads

The Norfolk Broads is the UK’s largest protected wetland and makes for a unique home of plant and animal life. It is made up many marshes, reedbeds, and conservation areas or SSSI's. It provides the ideal haven for a great variety of wildlife including otters, colourful kingfishers, the rare bittern, marsh harriers, swallowtail butterflies, dragonflies and the timid Chinese water deer. It is a nature lovers delight and one of the best ways to explore and experience the waterways and reed beds is by boat or canoe. Do not forget your camera!
