The Ribs of Beef is a real ale pub located by the river at Fye Bridge, it has a friendly welcoming atmosphere and has been dubbed "the City's favourite local". First called the Ribs of Beef in 1743, it was renamed many times during its many guises as a brewery tavern, an antique shop, an electrical shop and a ladies fashion boutique before Roger and Anthea Cawdron re-licensed it in 1985 as the Ribs of Beef.
