The Playbarn Riding Centre

We are an Association of British Riding Schools approved Riding Centre with Pony Club Centre affiliation, we have been running as a South Norfolk Licenced Riding School since 1997 and take great pride in teaching riders of all ages and abilities on our wonderful ponies and horses who have all been specially chosen for their roles.

We can offer either group or private lessons or hacks for adults and children, Pony days, Pony Club activities, simulator lessons and NVQ training thorugh BCTS. We have BHS qualified instructors who are all first aid trained and CRB checked.

We can also provide pony parties and have a small shop selling rider essentials which can be opened by appointment

Every school holidays we run activities for children aged 5 years and over.

These range from a 2hr pony morning to a full pony day. Children learn the essentials of looking after a pony from mucking out, grooming, tacking up, making feeds to having a ride. Riding is a mixture of lessons, hacks and gymkhanas. Children are grouped according to ability and age and each group takes part in riding and stable management sessions whilst fully supervised by a member of staff. At the end of the session children can choose to take home a rosette or a piece of grooming kit.

In the summer holidays we run week long non- residential pony camps where the children can pick their pony to look after for the week as if it is their own. On the last day we hold competitions to show of their riding skills and to win rosettes
