Enjoy the only waterside Museum of Broadland life at the historic and picturesque Stalham Staithe.  We are family and dog friendly, have an accessible site, with a small café and picnic area.

So why visit?

• Superb displays using a variety of media telling the story of the Broads including Vikings!
• A cracking range of boats ranging from a water bicycle, an airborne lifeboat, racing yachts, punts to an ice yacht and loads more!
• Plenty to do for Children including our play boat, our steering boat and why not try out our new Ellis Eel trails for families!
• Displays of life on the Broads from marshmen, boatbuilders to holidaymakers and including life during the two World Wars.
• Sail back in time and watch Broads wildlife on board our Victorian steam boat, ‘Falcon‘. or 'Marsh Harrier' our Edwardian style launch, she is wheelchair accessible and with a roof, is weather proof! Marsh Harrier is an electric boat and her batteries are charged by electricity produced by the Museum’s own solar panels. She will operate on Sunday, Monday and Friday and on special events days. Should you require an accessible boat, please book seats on Marsh Harrier for those days.

Opening times and admission prices:

Tuesday: 1000 – 1500
Thursday: 1000 – 1500
Sunday: 1000 – 1500

Also open on Wednesdays during July, August and September
 
Pay once and return for free for 12 months*
To avoid disappointment especially if you want to take a boat trip we recommend booking your tickets in advance online.

Current Admission prices are as follows:

Adults: £7.00
Children and Young People (13-18 years): £3.00, 12 and under Free
Dogs welcome, free of charge. Please keep on a lead.

Free admission to: Children under 12 & under, Friends of the Museum, a Carer of a Disabled visitor, and members of the Museums Association (please show card).

Please note: as an independent museum, we are NOT part of Norfolk Museums Service, and so cannot accept their annual pass.

* ID required.  You are invited to gift aid your admission at no extra cost to you
