The Greyhound is a country pub in the Village of Hickling serving ales since 1735. Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, it has evolved over the years to serve great food, beer, wines, fresh coffees, soft drinks and alcohol free options and prides itself on a friendly welcome.
Popular with both locals and visitors alike, booking is recommended to eat in the restaurant, bar or garden to avoid disappointment. Our Chefs cook to order, using local meats, fresh fish, Cromer Crab and proper pies, plus options for Vegan and Vegetarian choices and those dietary needs such as gluten free.
During the summer our beer garden or sun terrace allows you to relax alfresco and enjoy the sunshine whilst enjoying a drink, snack or meal. There are shady spots for those who wish to bring your four legged friend.
Tourism is a year round attraction and in the winter months, the welcoming real fire adds to the warm, cosy atmosphere you will experience, after a walk or swim at the nearby beach or perhaps watching the seals at Horsey, a cycle ride down country lanes, a boat trip or visits to the wealth of historical buildings, churches and villages in the area.
Being the neighbour to Hickling Broad, one of the largest broads, and NWT nature reserve, a 1200 acre paradise for the Swallowtail butterflies, Bitterns, Cranes and March Harriers, to name but a few, who thrive in our locality, we literally have the most amazing nature on our doorstep, all year round. Why not come and enjoy for yourself.
