Norwich Playhouse

The Playhouse is a venue with rare charm, for the audience and performers alike. Our 300 seat theatre provides a more intimate theatre experience without any loss in production quality. Excellent acoustics, sightlines and legroom help to create an experience where you can be physically comfortable but emotionally on the edge of your seat!

Since 2000 The Playhouse has been a receiving house, attracting nationally recognised artistes in comedy, music, jazz, dance and drama. Tickets are priced fairly and the atmosphere is friendly due to such great local support and returning patrons.

The adjoining bar and garden which overlook the river are the perfect spot for interval drinks and are frequented as much by the performers as by the general public during shows.
