Hidden Meadows Glamping site is 25 acres of wild flower meadows, woodland and hedges dating back to Saxon times (a rare find these days), ponds, reed beds and a large stream which meanders through the middle of it, perfect for a quiet, relaxing walk along at any time of day. Who knows, you may be lucky enough to spot a kingfisher!
The Safari Tents are sited in one of the meadows (car free site) with views of the surrounding meadows and woodland, they are furnished and equipped to a luxury standard so that you have everything you need for your ‘get away from it all’ holiday.
Inside are comfy leather sofas with warm throws and an internal wood burner to cosy up to when the camp fire has burned down outside; a kitchen with gas cooker and Solar powered fridge, sink with running water (cold only) dining table and chairs; Victorian style iron beds with memory foam mattresses, warm feather and down quilts (non-feather available upon request) made up for your arrival with high quality 100% cotton bed linen, thick soft towels, your own private flushing toilet and a shower with plenty of hot running water.
Although there is no electricity within the safari tents, lighting is supplied by solar powered awning lights, lanterns and tea lights. Each tent also has it’s own lockable charging unit on site for mobile phones, iPads and laptops etc.
What’s included in the cost of your holiday:
A welcome pack to get your holiday started consisting of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, a pint of milk, marshmallows for toasting over the campfire and a homemade cake - Free range chickens and chicken food in a run near your tent (optional) - All bed linen and towels (please note if you require bedding and towels for the single foldaway beds in Kingfisher and the double sofa beds in Nightingale and Jenny Wren there is a one off charge for these) - Battery powered internal tilly lamps and tea lights - Wood and fire lighters for the camp fire and wood burner. We supply you with a sack of hard wood logs for each night of your stay, more sacks can be purchased at a cost of £6 per sack. All the wood is locally sourced from sustainable woodlands using low impact, eco-friendly methods - BBQ, utensils, toasting forks and starter amount of charcoal - Cutlery, crockery, glasses, full set of saucepans etc. - Condiments, cooking oil - Kitchen linen, hand soap, toilet roll and washing up liquid.

Nature craft session lasts about 3 hours and is tailored to the groups ability. It includes fire making without matches, animal signs and tracks, natures larder, shelter building, navigating with and without a compass, knot tying, woodland crops, basic camp fire cooking and whatever else you would like to know! Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a adult.
Outside air rifle target range. This activity is being offered to guests aged from 8 years old (guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by a responsible adult) Suitable for both experienced and beginners as full safety and user instruction will be given by a qualified instructor who remains with participants throughout the session. You will be able to shoot at different types of targets and can take your paper targets home with you to prove what a good shot your are!.
Home made bread white or wholemeal, loaf or 6 rolls, A selection of home made jams and chutneys.
Don’t fancy cooking but want to stay on site? Why not order a cottage pie with fresh veg and gravy or vegetarian lasagne with garlic bread plus fruit crumble and custard enough to serve 4 adults, all homemade and delivered hot to your tent in a hay box
Afternoon high tea selection of sandwiches and saviouries, crisps, side salad, cakes, scones with jam and clotted cream, tea, a jug of Pimms for every 4 persons, all served at your tent on chinaware, cake stands with table linen, napkins and fresh flowers, minimum of 4 people.
The Parravani family have been making ice cream in Norfolk/Suffolk since 1898. Their ice cream is made from high quality ingredients using their family recipes. You can buy your ice cream from us- individual 120ml tubs, flavous vanilla roma, fragola (blended strawberries) Italian chocolate, toffee fudge, mint choc chip or stem ginger or 1.2ltr tubs which come in the same flavours plus raspberry ripple, black cherry ripple, rum and raisin, coconut and a lemon sorbet.
You can have your own campfire serenade! by two very talented local band members who will play your requests of songs from the 60’s to the present day.Each session lasts roughly about 2 1/2hrs.
Jewellery making classes This is provided, on site, by a very artistic local lady and is very popular with our Hen parties.It requires a minimum of 8 people and you can make earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
On site beauty treatments Why not treat yourself to a relaxing beauty treatment, chose from a back, neck and shoulder massage or a facial or a manicure or pedicure. Each treatment lasts 20 minutes with a minimum booking of 5 people.
On line shopping order Place your shopping order online and have it delivered to our house a day or two before your arrival, we will keep it (even frozen and fridge items) until the day of your arrival then take it down to your tent and unpack and put it all away so you are ready to start your holiday straight away!
Fancy having a go at real camp fire cooking? Why not rent our dutch oven, it’s a large, heavy cook pot with a lid complete with user instructions and some basic recipes ideas. You hang the pot from the tripod over a small camp fire. It may take a little longer but the taste is worth waiting for! High chairs We have 2 of these and there is no charge for the use of them, we just require that you request them at the time of your booking.
