Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden is a secret hideaway just waiting to be discovered.
Fairhaven is a unique garden rich in wildlife. The Garden is an eclectic mix of native and cultivated plantings with a network of dyke systems and a private broad.
We are open every day of the year except Christmas Day, so there are plenty of opportunities to get away from it all and explore our wonderful woodland walks.
We have a tearoom, gift shop, children's trail and plant sales area selling rare and unusual plants, several of which are propagated from garden stock. The garden and facilities are 100% accessible to visitors in wheelchairs and we have wheelchairs and mobility scooters available to hire (booking is advised in high season). Group visits: groups visits are welcome; we can provide special guided tours.
Standard admission prices include a 10% voluntary donation as part of the Gift Aid scheme.
See website for current prices.
Income from Gift Aid goes straight into projects within the garden such as providing wheelchair accessible picnic benches, new plantings and restoration projects.
Your support keeps the garden growing!
Thanks to some grant funding we are now able to offer trips on 2 boats; ‘Primrose’ and ‘Primula’. Primrose runs daily from April to 11th November, offering 20 and 50 minute trips. ‘Primula’ runs 20 minute trips on Sundays and daily through the school holidays. ‘Primula’ will also be available mid week by request - please call us to book.
Why not take a relaxing trip down the river past the historic ruins of St. Benet's Abbey?
The boat trip lasts around 50 minutes and sets off at 12 noon and again at 2.30pm.
Or if you prefer a shorter trip we run 20 minute trips around our broad throughout the day. It is a great way to see Kingfishers, Grebe and Swans or maybe even an Otter.
Please note that boat trips are weather permitting so please telephone on the morning of your visit so that we can let you know whether or not they are running.
